Derya Group specializes in retail clothing, home textiles and decoration and food and beverage sector, primarily through a franchise system.
Additionally, we own and operate our multi-brand store, including men's, women's, and kids' wear collections, called Derya, located in the capital city of Nicosia and in the small town of Akdoğan (Lysi), which opened in 1983 as our first store.

As the founding family members of Derya Group we are fully active within the company and share responsibilities of different areas in day to day operation. Apart from different roles in day to day operation all other key decisions such as new locations, new brands and other investment decisions are taken together after consultation with professional managers in the company.
Born in Cyprus, Alp Cengiz Alp graduated from Balikesir University in Turkey. Following his graduation from Tourism and Management he returned to Cyprus and founded the DERYA store in 1983. He has been involved in all day to day operations since day one and today he manages the finance department of the company and he is also the director of our sister company Aldora Construction Ltd. He is currently one of the board members of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce where he served as vice-president as well and is also head of the Real Sector Consulting Committee. He is also serving as the employer representative at the Minimum Wage Determination Committee.
Born in Cyprus, Derya Alp retired from her profession as a primary school teacher in 1996 and joined the company due to the growing volume of the business. She has been involved in day to day operations since and is responsible for collection sampling, recruitment and staff management within the company. She is also a member of the Business Women Association.
Born in Cyprus, Doğa Alp graduated from The University of Reading in 2007 where he studied Bsc Land Management – Development and Planning and Msc Construction Management. He joined the company in 2008 and is currently responsible for franchise relations, expansion and marketing. He is also involved in the management of our sister company Aldora Construction Ltd. and also served as a board member in North Cyprus Young Businessmen’s Association.
Born in Cyprus, Şükran Alp graduated from The University of Reading in 2012 where she studied Ba Management and Business Administration and Msc Marketing and International Management. Following her graduation, she joined the team and is currently responsible for IT and logistics of the company. She is also a board member of the Women Entrepreneurship Committee which is established under the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce.
